The 60th Conference of the Linguistics Colloquium (LingColl) includes thematic sections under the motto:
“Language and Action”
The following thematic areas will be discussed:
Specialised languages as a subject of research, didactics of specialised languages in theory and practice, diachrony and history of specialised languages, intercultural nature of specialised languages, problems and challenges facing translation, terminology and lexicography, and all other aspects of specialised communication.
We are also open to other proposals concerning research, didactics and translation of specialised texts, and specialised languages as foreign languages in particular.
The languages of the conference are German and English, but, by request, some speeches can also be accepted in Polish.
The Linguistics Colloquium (LingColl) was founded in 1966 in Hamburg and has since been present in more than 20 countries. The Colloquium is focused on research in the field of language and languages in all areas of linguistics. It is open to different theoretical approaches and, through its collaborative culture of discussion, creates optimal conditions for a fruitful exchange of ideas and research results.
On 17–20 September 2025, the 60th LingColl will take place in Poland at the University of Warsaw.
